- Short Visits (Check-ups/Consultation): No. Most international patients enter on a standard Social Visit Pass (Tourist Visa).
- Long-Term Treatment (>30 Days): If you require intensive treatment (e.g., Cancer care, Major Surgery), we can assist you in applying for a Medical e-Visa through the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC).
Primary Option: Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA / KLIA2). This is the main international hub.

Arrival Logistics (KLIA to Melaka)
- Distance: ~135km.
- Travel Time: 1 hour 45 mins – 2 hours by car (via North-South Expressway).
- Private Transfer: We strongly recommend booking a Private Hospital Transfer or a Private Van given the distance.
- Bus: You can take a bus from KLIA to Melaka Sentral (~2 hours), then take a Grab to the hospital (~15 mins). This is cheaper but tiring for patients.
- Grab: A direct Grab from KLIA to Melaka will cost approx. RM200 – RM250.

- Walk-ins:Possible, but booking is recommended to ensure your doctor is available.
Go to the Health Screening Unit located on the 4th Floor, Block A.
- Please fast (no food, only plain water) for 8–10 hours before your appointment.
- Operating Hours: Mon–Fri (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM), Sat (7:30 AM – 12:00 PM).
- Results: Results can typically be obtained within 4–5 hours. Most reports will be reviewed by the doctor in the afternoon if screening is done in the morning.
Insurance, Payment & Costs
- Yes. We accept Guarantee Letters (GL) from major insurers (Cigna, Aetna, Bupa, etc.) and Indonesian insurers (Admedika, Owlexa, etc.).
- Procedure: Present your GL and Medical Card at the International Patient Centre (IPC) upon arrival.
- Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) only. Payment can be made using bank cards authorised for use in Malaysia.
- Indonesian Patients: We do not accept IDR cash. Please exchange money at the money changer or use a credit card.
- Single Room: ~RM221 – RM315 per night.
- Single Bedded (Deluxe): ~RM315 per night
- Deluxe Suite: ~RM399 per night
- 2-Bedded Room: ~RM116 per night.
- 4-Bedded Room: ~RM90 per night.
- VIP Suite: ~RM504 per night.
- Note: Pantai Hospital Melaka is known for very affordable room rates compared to KL/Penang.
