Pre-Arrival & Visa Planning
- Important (Sarawak Autonomy): Sarawak maintains its own immigration control. Even when entering from Peninsular Malaysia (e.g., Kuala Lumpur), all travelers are required to clear immigration upon arrival in Sarawak.
- Short Visits: Most international patients may enter Sarawak on a standard Social Visit Pass (Tourist Visa).
- Long-Term Treatment: For patients requiring intensive or extended treatment (e.g., Orthopaedics, Oncology), assistance with visa applications can be provided.
- Valid passport with at least six (6) months’ validity.
- Return flight ticket, as Sarawak immigration authorities enforce strict verification.
- Printed medical reports and X-rays in English.
- Appointment confirmation letter.
Arrival in Kuching (Airport Logistics)
- Distance: Approximately 5 km
- Travel Time: About 10–15 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
Location: After exiting the Arrival Hall (Level 1), proceed to the left end of the terminal near the taxi stands. Please follow the designated “E-Hailing Pickup” signage.
- A hospital transfer can be arranged by prior appointment. Please contact us in advance if this service is required.
- Recommendation: Grab ride-hailing services are highly affordable in Kuching. Estimated fares from the airport to the hospital typically range from RM10 to RM15.
- Airport Taxi: Airport taxis are available via the counter located in the Arrival Hall.
